Fin AI works with AI model providers to understand your form and help you edit it.

- **Editing:** Fin AI reads your form's structure and question text so it can make changes.
- **Analysis:** when you ask the [Agent](/ai/workspace-agent) or an [Autofield](/ai/autofields) to look at responses, it reads the answers it needs for that task.
- **Untrusted data:** respondent answers are always treated as data, never as instructions.

## Opt a form out

Under **Settings → Advanced → Data preferences**, turn off **Improve models with this form's data**. Form data then isn't shared for model improvements. Fin AI and Autofields keep working.
