**Multiple choice** (`/multiple`) shows a list of options and lets respondents pick one. **Yes/no** (`/yes`) is a multiple choice question with the options _Yes_ and _No_ already filled in.

## Add options

Type each option on its own line. Press <kbd>Enter</kbd> to add the next one. To paste a long list, use **Bulk insert options** (<kbd>⌘</kbd> <kbd>⇧</kbd> <kbd>O</kbd>) and put one option per line.

Below the options you can quickly add a **Maybe** answer, or an **Other** option that lets respondents type their own answer.

## Settings

| Setting | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| **Randomize options** | Shuffles the order for each respondent, to avoid order bias. |
| **Option descriptions** | Adds a line of helper text under each option. |
| **Default answer** | Pre-selects an option. |
| **Required** | Respondents must choose an option. |

Options can also have images and colors. Select an option to change them.

:::tip[Branch on the answer] Multiple choice is the most common trigger for [conditional logic](/logic/conditional-logic). For example, show the _Company name_ question only when someone picks _Business_. :::
