Webhooks deliver real-time HTTP POST events whenever someone completes your form. Use them to connect Finerlise to your own app, or to automation tools that accept webhooks.

## Add a webhook

1. **Open Integrations**

    Open your form, click **Integrations** → **Webhooks** → **Add webhook**.

2. **Configure it**

    - **Endpoint URL**: where to send the request (`https://…`). - **Label
    (optional)**: a name for your reference. - **Payload format**: **Standard
    JSON**, or **Discord Webhook** for a Discord channel. - **Signing secret
    (optional)**: lets you verify that requests really come from Finerlise.

3. **Test it**

    Click **Send test event**. You should see *"Test event delivered
    successfully!"*

## What you receive

Finerlise sends a `POST` with a JSON body for the `response.completed` event:

```json
{
  "event": "response.completed",
  "createdAt": "2026-10-08T12:00:00.000Z",
  "data": {
    "formId": "3c9d2b1a-7e4f-4a6b-8c2d-1f0e9a8b7c6d",
    "formTitle": "Job application",
    "responseId": "8f14e45f-ceea-4e7a-9a3b-2c1d5b6e7f80",
    "respondentEmail": "ada@example.com",
    "completedAt": "2026-10-08T11:59:58.000Z",
    "answers": [
      {
        "fieldId": "b2c3d4e5-f6a7-4b8c-9d0e-1f2a3b4c5d6e",
        "label": "Full name",
        "type": "SHORT_TEXT",
        "value": "Ada Lovelace"
      }
    ],
    "fields": { "Full name": "Ada Lovelace" },
    "hiddenFields": { "utm_source": "newsletter" },
    "metadata": {}
  }
}
```

Your endpoint should reply with a `2xx` status within **10 seconds**.

## Pause or remove a webhook

Use the webhook's toggle to pause it without deleting it, or remove it from its menu.

:::note Failed deliveries aren't retried automatically. If your endpoint might be unavailable, use the [API](/developers/rest-api-quickstart) to catch up on missed responses. :::

See the [webhooks reference](/developers/webhooks-reference) for headers and signature verification code.
