Answer recall (sometimes called _answer piping_) inserts a respondent's earlier answer into later text. For example:

> Nice to meet you, **Ada**! What brings you to Finerlise?

## Insert an answer

1. Click into a question title, a text block, a choice label or an end page.
2. Type `@` and choose the question whose answer you want to show.
3. Optionally set a **fallback**, which is the text shown when the question wasn't answered, like _there_.

## Good places to use it

- Greeting people by name on later pages.
- Confirming details before submitting: _"We'll send the invoice to @Email."_
- Showing a [score](/logic/calculations-and-scoring) on the end page: _"You scored @Score out of 10."_
