Turn on **Respondent's country** to detect each respondent's country from their IP address.

1. Go to **Settings → Responses**.
2. Turn on **Respondent's country**.

The country is never shown to respondents. It appears in your submissions and exports, and you can use it in [conditional logic](/logic/conditional-logic), for example to show EU-specific consent text.

:::note VPNs and proxies can make the detected country inaccurate. Don't rely on it for anything legally binding. :::
