With **Partial submissions** on, answers are saved as respondents go, even if they never click submit. You can follow up on almost-complete applications and see exactly where people stop.

## Turn it on

1. Go to **Settings → Responses → Partial submissions**.
2. Read and accept the short policy: tell respondents that answers may be saved, don't use unfinished responses for marketing without consent, and delete what you don't need.

Incomplete responses then appear in your [submissions](/responses/submissions-table), marked as partial.

## Good to know

- Signatures aren't saved in partial submissions, for security reasons.
- Partial submissions don't sync to [integrations](/integrations) and don't trigger [email notifications](/settings/email-notifications). Only completed responses do.
- Set a separate [retention period](/settings/data-retention) for partial submissions to delete them automatically.
