The current owner can make another member the owner:

1. Go to **Settings → General → Transfer ownership**.
2. Choose an existing member.
3. Confirm. You become a workspace **Admin**.

:::warning[Paid workspaces] You can't transfer ownership while the workspace has an active paid subscription. [Cancel the subscription](/plans/upgrade-downgrade-cancel) first, transfer, and the new owner can subscribe again. :::

The person must already be a member of the workspace. [Invite them](/workspace/members-and-roles) first if they aren't.
